Band Booster Meeting Minutes

Help steer the future of the Perkins Bands. Join us at the Band Boosters meetings. We meet year round on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7 pm in the PHS band room! Come hear what's going on, share your ideas, and support the band!

Color Guard Resources

To help our performers excel both on and off the field, we encourage members to take advantage of educational and instructional platforms such as:

Color Guard EDU: Offers hundreds of videos, podcasts, and webinars spanning flag, dance, and rifle basics for beginners and instructors.
Color Guard Creative: Provides instructor training courses, vocabulary glossaries, and community support for directors.
WGI Educational Downloads: Features premium technique classes for flag, rifle, and sabre, including comprehensive tutorials on tosses and movement.
Spintronix Color Guard: An excellent digital resource offering training manuals and free digital training series for beginning instructors and students.

You Tube is also an excellent resource for learning techniques, whether you are a beginner or advanced. There are tips for everyone. Top channels include:

Color Guard Academy: Hosted by a veteran instructor, this channel breaks down basic skills, exercises, and specific maneuvers.
Spintronix Guard: A highly active channel that promotes growth in the marching arts with beginner flag courses, performance breakdowns, and simple tips for advanced moves.
